Our Story

Jyelah Mind & Body is an authentic First Nations owned and operated e-commerce store that specialises in providing a range of natural skincare products. Fuelled by passion, spirit and a little bit of bush magic.

About Our Founder

Founded in 2019 by Kerrilee Philp a proud Ngiyampaa and Barkindji woman whose lineage can be found in the remote communities of Murrin Bridge, Ivanhoe and Menindee, was born and raised in Griffith on Wiradjuri country. Kerrilee is a single mother of three, Jyelah, Lijanah and Kingston. Jyelah, Kerrilee's first born died during delivery due to shoulder dystocia resulting in fetal asphyxiation in 2009. Kerrilee drew inspiration for her business name from her late daughter Jyelah and often supports charities and local organisations with a strong focus on supporting families who have also experienced pregnancy and infant loss. Kerrilee also drew inspiration for Jyelah Mind & Body from her two Aboriginal grandmothers Beryl and Fay, who have both passed down traditional knowledge of bush medicine harvesting and application to their granddaughter. Kerrilee and her children have their own story of suffering with sensitive skin, and prior to establishing her business she had been experimenting with natural ingredients for over a decade. This experimenting eventually became the driving force behind Kerrilee launching Jyelah Mind and Body.

Our commitment to quality is unwavering.

Kerrilee's family help her harvest the Emu Bush on country and we work closely with local suppliers and to ensure that our ingredients are ethically sourced and of the highest quality. Each product is carefully crafted to meet our rigorous standards, ensuring that you receive the best possible skincare experience.

At Jyelah Mind & Body, we believe that skincare is more than just a routine – it's a way to connect with nature and enhance your overall well-being. We are passionate about helping you achieve healthy, radiant skin while embracing the power of natural remedies.

Thank you for choosing Jyelah Mind & Body as your trusted source for natural skincare. We look forward to being a part of your skincare journey and helping you discover the transformative benefits of our products.

Dr Beryl Carmichael sadly passed away in May, 2024. She was instrumental in empowering Kerrilee to start Jyelah Mind & Body. Beryl's very last words to Kerrilee were "Keep making your Emu Bush".
